Cowboy Fun!!

HOWDY PARTNER....... For months C would dress up like a cowboy......so his party theme was a cinch!!! He wore his hat and carried a gun from dawn til dusk......but had a smile that would melt your heart!!!

Luckily our theme at bible school was also western so I had plenty of decor already!!!

We did choose to go to a bounce house- and let the kiddos jump around. We choose not to do gifts for the boys birthdays and to ask guests to donate to the mission work of T.E.N. in their efforts to give to orphanages in Peru and Africa. C was able to raise 400 dollars from friends and family to help other kids. We are so thankful for friends and family and all they did to support this effort!!

There was a 2 story slide that was C's favorite- so the grown ups took turns walking up and sliding down with him or other kids!! FAMILY FUN!!!!

His friends and cousins all ready to JUMP!!!

T enjoyed climbing into the Lions mouth!!!

JUMPING WITH FRIENDS!!!! I am telling you that nothing this boys does with out jumping or running, we could not have chosen a better place- well worth the money!!!

We did give him a tractor from T for his present and a truck that looks like daddy's!!

He was so happy- he loves Trucks!!!

C is my free spirited very independent child. He is my second born so of course he probably gets away with a lot more than the normal. But at the same time he is caring and loves his brother!! He loves to go hunting with his daddy- and cries now if he is left behind. His red head gives him lots of looks from ladies......they love the hair!! And he loves the attention!! I love that each and every time I pick him up from his bed he pats my back as I pat his- and he tells me "I wuvs you mama" melts my heart!! Looking forward to seeing what he will LEAD in his future- he is a born leader!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Cowboy!!!

He's rough, He's tough......He is COWBOY C!!!!
His expressions on his face will make you laugh. His little grin will put a grin on your face. And from day to day who knows what he will want to dress up and pretend to be. No matter who he pretends to be.... he is my second born!!!

This cowboy is 32" tall and 35lbs. He runs most places and LOVES to JuMp!!! He is so full of Life and A LOT of ENERGY!!!! When he hits the sack, he sleeps all night and take good two hour naps- to recharge that cowboy courage!!

His humor is dry must like his daddy's and so when you laugh at him either says "NO STOP LAUGHING!!" Or he tries to hide a timid grin. His teacher in pre-school says he is doing great and loves school. Even though he cries every time his mama leaves, but we all know Cowboys love their mamas!!

I know when this Cowboy grows up he will definitely be good at sports and the LEADER of the pack. His leadership skills are VERY GOOD.....and he likes things to go his way!!

It has been a short 3 years- but so far he has made his mark in a lot of people's lives. He is very loving and even if it takes a little for him to warm up- he usually loves to give kisses and hugs!!
No matter what he ends up being in life or where he goes, my prayer each day is that he is saved at a young age and live each day for the Lord. I know that When HE is on FIRE for GOD- EVERYONE will KNOW!!!
We Love You C!!!!!!

Leaping Leprechaun

His new trick this week is....throwing things in his crib......only to jump on the side and leap into the crib to fetch it then quickly leap back out!!
We had friends over Friday he says "watch me....lookie me......." and preforms his trick for his friends!!! Our own little entertainer- I am so proud.....I just hope he makes it to the Olympics one day!!
You might be thinking.....wait I thought they were gonna take that crib down?? Well, after much thought- this is MY ONLY WAY TO KEEP HIM IN THE BED.....at night!!
Luckily this is his DAY TIME TRICK!!! We might soon try to change it to a toddler bed.....but for right now....he sleeps so good in his crib!! This is also the baby who never slept longer than 4 hours at a time for the first 16 months!!! I am really enjoying my sleep now that he is TWO!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day & Happy Birthday to my Cousin Susan in NC!!!!

C's Curious George Party

Curious George is C's FAVORITE character right now- so I thought no better theme for a party!! Only thing is.....George is VERY hard to find.....in stores!!!

I could not find hardly anything- George anywhere!! I did find a few cute invites on eBay and paid a lot jut for George. Then found 3 Balloons at a party supply on clearance. The bakery did ave a kit- and that was that!!
Funny how George has been around forever- and yet they have nothing. In fact Uncle Charlie said when he was a kid he would watch him. C's love of George started from the show on PBS every morning when he wakes up. Then the AR Santa left both the boys a George for Christmas last year.

C does remind us a bit of a monkey just the way he runs and swings his arms-
and he definitely is CURIOUS!!!
So if the shoe fits- WEAR IT!!!

We had a small party and I was really glad- the temp was finally forecast 70's and NO RAIN!!! Well, weather men got this one WRONG!!! It was a misty rain most of the party and 60's or less. Too cold to play outside with out a jacket. So it was good there were not that many stacked on top of each other inside the house.
I did something different- since I wanted to keep with the George theme. I was reading a book about George to C last week- it had all of these different animals in the book. And talked about not feeding the animals at the ZOO.
I had bought some paper bag puppets and put up for the boys- so I thought we could make a different puppet and then act out the George story!! It went great!! There were Elephants, bears, tigers, and a blue bird. Then I had the birthday boy make a monkey one!! Here we are making our puppets and reading the story.

Big C made a GREAT Elephant, Lil' A had a tiger with many parts, and Big A was the blue bird.

He got really teased when we all looked at him and sang to him- I thought it was sweet compared to his usual "NO NO NO- NO INGing" All week long at any meal- T wants to sing happy birthday to him. I thinks OCTOBER is C's birthday. Everyday he says is it still October?
He had the whole opening presents down this year- I just had to keep his older brother out of them before he unwrapped them first!! I have already about lost it over the whole- SHARING- with each other. He takes the poor kids brand new toys right out of his hand..... I have a feeling the boat paddle will get a lot of use this week!!

He also got plenty of money for his saving account, a dinosaur, Handy Manny motorcycle, puzzles, little people & their boat of shapes, and a gift card for Wal-mart! He is ready to go- and mama is ready to organize all the new spaces for new toys!!

We gave him a Little Red Cozy Coupe car.....I have always wanted one of my kids to have one....one of those toys. What is any American household with out one of those cute red & yellow flinstone pedaling cars!! IT WAS A TOTAL HIT!!! Here is his reaction when he saw the car- ALL the kids were glad to see it!!

In fact he was so excited to get in.....he did a "dukes of hazard entrance" climbed right through the window!! Then there was a bit of a incident with others passengers trying to enter from the other side- It was CRAZY FUNNY!!!

I am LOVING my new camera- the only thing I don't like about it. The pictures are SO BIG (gb wise- i guess i don't know computer lingo?) It takes FOREVER to LOAD pictures on my blog- and any other website!!!

I have to do one picture at a time now.......SLOW.....therefore I am still working on my ZOO post I just load a few pics a day on it- And I have ALREADY taken 2000- pictures with it~~ I think I have a problem.

I will try with all the time on my hands to get a few more post up this week that I am behind on!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to C!!!!

the BIG 2...
Seems like yesterday when you arrived so FAST and FURIOUS!! When you came into the world- it has never been the same!! The doctor broke my water I was dilated to a 4 and 50 minutes later you were HERE!!! You came so fast the doctor almost missed you- your little nose, face & legs were skinned up a bit because you literally flew down the birth canal!!
It was FUN let me tell you!!

Your check up is next week so I will give approximate weight is 28 pounds & I have no idea about height- I do know that you are flooding in your 2T pants. I have not gotten your hand-me downs out of the attic yet...I know I was the younger one I had to wear them too!!

You are definitely ready to potty train- you don't like wearing a diaper. Especially during nap time. Hopefully last week after you took your diaper off and pooped all over you rug in the nursery you have learned the hard way NOT to EVER do that again.

That is something else you LOVE to do...CLIMB!!! No mountain high enough for you. You are a born leader and explorer. Who knows you might climb Mt. Everest, just to see what is up there some day?

Since the day you were born your brother has loved you, and you are loving him so much. Although brotherly love can be tough- you are standing your ground. And when push comes to shove some times you will bite- just to get your point across. You all really play well together- I love to listen to you all talk....it is so interesting. Thank God for monitors- I can be the fly on the wall...a few rooms away!

You have the BEST SMILE EVER!!! When we go to the store, you wave and tell everyone we meet "hi" and then when I talk to long to people I know- you say "bye bye"

When you walk into the room you light it up and make everyone laugh & smile!!

You are a silly goose!! Your daddy & brother LOVE to tickle you and I love to hear you laugh. Your laugh makes me laugh. In fact all three of you wrestle on the floor EVERY night before bath time. You usually end up starting it and finishing it!
You definitely are independent and can do a lot on your own- we have found out mostly from watching how strong you are and how you study things.
Last week you told daddy "I luvs you my daddy" and I was so jealous- Here I am with you all day and you have never told me that and he walks in and that is what you say! Then that night at bed time I asked you to tell me I love mama- You told me "NO" that made me laugh.
The next morning when I picked you long little body out of the crib and you were rubbing your still sleepy eyes you laid your head on my shoulder- patted my back and said in the sweetest voice I will never forget "I luvs you my mommy" Awwww you are such a sweet boy.
I pray each day you grow up to know the Lord and have a relationship with him. And experience the things he wants you to know and be in yourself and in life. You have made us so proud even though you are just 2- you are our big boy!!
I love you, Your Mommy (PS I love that you say mommy instead of mama- it is so cute)

Funny Friday

When I got home Sunday afternoon- I had been gone all afternoon, I had lunch with a friend and then church that night. They had a little work to do in the woods with BoBo so daddy was a busy man!!!

He hugged me when I got home and said " I don't see how you do it!!" I just smiled.

He was running bath water for the boys- T was on the couch passed out and snoring!!!! And I said where is C? B said "honestly I have no clue??"

I started on the trek.....I usually keep all closets, laundry room & bathroom doors closed when I am home with the boys. As I was walking from room to room I saw this.......

Then I grabbed the camera and he said "Cheese!!" He was brushing his teeth....with his brothers toothbrush....how (nasty) sweet!!

His diaper was soaking wet because he had turned the water on too---outside of the diaper!!

Since then he has done it again about 4 times.....now when he goes missing I just go straight to the bathroom!!
Atleast you got a sneak peek of my bathroom remodel!!!

One more note.....He climbed out of his crib this week.....YIPEE!!!!

I was in the office trying to get my computer to work and kept hearing him on the monitor moving around so I knew he was not asleep......and that is when I hear a toy play!!! I'll never forget the moment!!! Neither will my friend Crystal...I screamed in her ear because I was talking to her on the phone!!

I cannot put in the blog what exactly I said being the christian woman that I am, but you can ask her and she was just cracking up at me!!!

When I went over to the house and BUSTED him....I quietly opened the door to his room and looked at him in a serious look- He immediately started to slowly stand up and move away from the toy. He then pouted that rosie little lip out and started to cry like he was in big trouble!!

I swatted down next to his shaking body and said in a calm but firm voice "what are you doing out of your bed?" He then in his own language said " blah blah blah....try to bed"

So I cracked that code...he tried to get back in and since he couldn't that is his only mistake!!! I then told him "we do not get out of our crib unless mama comes to get us do you understand me?" With tears rolling down his cheek he replied "ma'am" which means yes ma'am- he learned that from brother.

I then spanked the little climbing hiney and made him sit in his chair for a minute (his age) then I walked back to him and told him never to ever ever do that again- it makes me said and makes Jesus said that he disobeyed mama. Got another "ma'am" and I think that one is solved.

The only way I think he did it NO JOKE.....he had to pull himself up out of his crib with the mobile from his bed them lift his body out and jump onto a rocking chair I really think he did that. He told me " blah blah blah chair" when I asked him- but there is no possible way that he could reach it unless.....he was swinging.

Truly I think when a kid can climb out of there crib- that means time to take it down and sleep in a big bed- this child not the case.....He will stay behind wooden bars for as long as possible- otherwise I will have to remove EVERYTHING from his room but the Bed!!!! He has not tried it again and I remind him every time I put him down- not to get out or he will get a spanking!!

Therefore, once again has confirmed to have Curious George for his birthday party theme!!! He is our little monkey!!!

Have a Good Weekend!!

Good to GO!!!

Well, this morning went well- sorry I am just updating!!! Sleep came first. I went to bed at 10:30 and woke up at 2 am to leave at 3am. We checked in at 6 am and surgery was 10 mins before 8. We were leaving the hospital before 9 am and back at home at 11:15. We then ate lunch, sent Grana & Poppie on their way and we ALL crashed!! Wheww I need another nap just thinking about it!!
Like that shiner??? That was from his brother's birthday party- read tomorrow for that post!!

He did good- for C!! He is the one who doesn't like ANYONE to bother him, touch him or look at him- he is getting better. But this morning he was up at 4 am and from then on he was grouchy!! Poor nurses and staff.....he kept on grunting at them like get away!!
Then the clouds opened up and angels sang... the angel nurse came in with "goofy juice" they give to kids to settle them down for surgery. I kindly told her before she tried to give it to him
"he is a spitter- stand back!" She then handed the syringe to me and said you do it then. We ended up holding him down and all getting it on us- except B he was holding his feet- YES it took three adults to hold him down to give him medicine- at home I can usually 'hog tie' him between my legs and blow into his face so much he doesn't even know what hit him!!
A few minutes after the juice was in effect- you could tell he the lights were on but no one was home. B started to tickle him and he just had this crazy giggle like some old drunk man!! Oh it was so funny. He went from growling at all the nurses to smiling and laughing!!
Then just a few minutes they took him away and he was done and we were in recovery with him and we were on the road!! It was great- so fast and so precise too!!
I will have to say when we were on the way home I sleep off and on- I am so not truck driver material- and plus as this picture shows he caught a cat nap between nurses and doctors coming in!! He would so kill me if he knew I put this on here.....he does not read it- so what he doesn't know won't kill him!!
Plus that is pay backs for all the wild driving to Little Rock and me hitting my head on the window a couple times on the way home- due to my nodding off......I caught myself knocking my head back and forth a few times and he was laughing at me!! You know kinda like the 80 year old man who sits in church and his head bobs back and forth until the preacher says something loud- then he jumps!! That was me!!
C was just in lala land watching CARS in the back seat- never made a peep- so I moved up to the front for more leg room!!
I am going to post a time line and story about tubes soon- I think it will help any one who is unsure about getting tubes in there kids ears- I put it off on T for 6 mo. just because I was scared!! It is really not bad at all- and then the end results are even better- He will be talking clearer in NO time!
I can remember the doctor telling me about T- he said the reason he talks funny is because it is like he hears you from underwater??? Is that not crazy??? So I think this is the way C is too.
I do need to record him saying a few things now- because it will change overnight!! This morning when I put him in the car seat it was 3 am remember- he said in a groggy voice " Uh Oh...George" I then gave him his brown little monkey with at missing eye....and he then told me in the sweetest softest voice I will NEVER forget it "Gank U my momma" That is how he says Thank You!!!
I love they way they talk when they are just learning and as much as I hate to repeat it to them it is just too sweet- They grow out of it way too soon. First person he asked for when we were in recovery was " where's broder"
Thank You all for you Prayers for our precious little gift from God above!! Thank you so much to my mom & dad who watched our other gift and spoiled him.....and cleaned my whole house, did all my laundry and did a few "handy man" jobs around the house while we were gone this morning!! You are Priceless!!
