Happy 90th Birthday to Papaw!!

Two of my favorite men......my Dad and my Papaw..... My Dad is a great example for me and he learned from his Father how to being a loving example to his Family through Christ.....I am so blessed to have these two men in my life today!!
I am thankful for my Papaw he is a great Christian man an shows his faith in he daily walk with his Savior. He raised his family in church and has been a follower of Christ most of his life. He showed by example how to love your wife as your best friend. He and my Mamaw raised their boys and taught them by example of how to live a life FULL of Love!!

Here are some pictures and moments from his 90 years of Life.....

The first picture of him that we have......sitting in the yard with the chickens.....he laughs every time he sees this picture!!

When he was a school boy

He loved the sport of Baseball

His High School class reunion of 70 years was this year.....this was his High School picture.

He served our Country in the Army in World War II......here are some memories from the War...

He and my Mamaw eloped when she wasn't even out of High School.....there love produced: 3 boys......and 6 grandchildren......and 10 great grandchildren!

His Love of his Life......my Mamaw....

He LOVED to Fish......and had many fishing adventures and friends to share in his Love!!

This is one of my most favorite pictures of my dad and my Papaw....sitting on the porch after a little football game in the yard.

Here he is with his 3 sons.....my dad is the youngest!

He was a mail carrier for his home town. We were visiting with him not long ago about his job with the Post Office. He said, "I've been retired longer than I worked for them!" WOW not too many people can say that.

My Mamaw passed away 2 years ago.....he has mourned her death as anyone who was married to the love of his life and his best friend of 68 years!! They would have been married 70 years this week.

I took this picture of him waving at us as we drove away......at the house they have lived in since 1977.....the year I was born. He since has moved to a retirement center and has new friends to play cards and socialize with. He is still doing wonderful- at his last check up his doctor told him he is in GREAT shape for 90!! I wish him many many more years!!

32-32

Well, yesterday was my 32nd Birthday. It was great!! Honestly, I have never had a problem celebrating birthdays. They don't bother me I guess I try to be positive and think it is a lot better than the alternative!!

In fact I felt a little young, waking up- I was washing my face..... low and behold a PIMPLE!!! Right there on my chin- that will make you feel young, especially since my face is so dry and they are very rare for me!!

However I am typing this post on my NEW LAPTOP- from the comfort of my couch in my living room!! I JUST LOVE IT!!!

My boys, B mostly gave me this Toshiba Laptop for my birthday- and let me tell you this.... he has saved his birthday money & Christmas money to spend on me for my gift. Something I have wanted for so long- especially since I started the blog!!

He is so sweet & thoughtful, I am so thankful God has brought him into my life and we can grow old together!! He has definitely come a long way especially since his Meat Tenderizer days!!

The reason I have MOSTLY wanted a laptop is, our home computer is NOT in our house. We keep it in the office which is connected to the house by a sidewalk and in a different building. I have only 1-2 hours of computer time use each day. Honestly, that is okay with me. Only it is nap time or bed time for the kids. When B is gone away to work at night time- I don't like to be away or OUT of the house from the kids. Even if they are sleeping & I do have a baby monitor and know exactly every breath they breathe. I am scared of the dark night & walking outside at night is kinda creepy too!! Just kidding- but it is a little creepy!!

I honestly am making a resolution this year to limit computer or "gadget" time. So, this is a temptation for sure. But, I am enjoying it so far.

My sister & Lil' AG ate lunch with us and we went to the store to check out laptops. She is more computer savvy than myself- so she knew what I was getting. Also, she is quite the wheeler dealer too!! After much negotiation we got a deal and is was the BEST BUY we could find!!

Thanks LaLa for Lunch and my Laptop cooling lap pad thingy!!! Love you!! Thanks also to our parents for the birthday money.... and Cole for the gift card to Stage!! Love all of you!!!

Thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday- It was wonderful and I look forward to many many more!!

Have a Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Lil' A.G.'s Big Birthday Bash!!!

We went to celebrate this little sweet angel's birthday. She is my niece, it was her 3rd birthday. She has come along way from spending her first week in the NICU. She is FULL of Happiness & Joy.

They live just two hours away from us in Texas- so we drove over for the day.
They rented this 2 story tall water slide. The kids played NON-STOP. They hated to go inside to eat and do presents. T was not for sure if he wanted to go down the slide at first- then he went and NEVER stopped going. He was still on it just moments before we left.

At first C was interested in the kiddy pool.........

All that fun and big slide and where did C go- to bucket of water. We laughed at him sitting in his "redneck pool". He would get in and out- in and out....over and over and over again. Talk about a TRUE country boy!!

I got on the slide with C and that was a mistake!! He wanted to go on it from then on!!!
I was so sore the next day- he would just point and say "mama mama mama"

WHAT A SPLASH.....see those FEET????

We had a great time- they will be headed our way in August for T's birthday.
