I am back and will never be the same again!!

Well, I can now cross something out on the TO DO LIST.......Mission Trip. Although I can say after going- that it is not something I wouldn't mind to do all over again! I loved it- Honestly, I did not have time to get home sick. I did miss my family- but I also knew I was in Lima, Peru for 7 days so I did my best to put my feelings aside and be his hands and feet.
Here is a sneak peak into what happened in those 7 days.
I will give longer more detailed...you know me.....in the next few days!!

We met in Lima, Peru......
Our Leaders....Missionaries who live in Lima (in the long sleeve blue shirts)- met us at the airport and there we also met two other members ( C & J the couple to the left) of our team of 5

Lived out of a suitcase for 7 days......and slept in a twin size bunk bed.........Here is the Team......
J & C (from Mississippi) T, Me & D ( from Arkansas) You could not have asked for a better mix of people- we laughed, I cried ( that's a whole 'nother can of worms), we shared testimonies, we really got along like we had known each other always! God was totally in Control!!We then hit the streets......Inner City Lima, Peru. We walked the streets they walk everyday......Took public transportation like they did everyday......Some smaller than others.......Tight squeeze most of the time...... Then kept on walking......into the nights........because that is what HE would have done......
We met them on the streets.......saw their faces and eyes up close......Even if we didn't speak the same language, or speak or hear at all.We saw where they lived.....Saw homes that were different than ours....... Saw stoves that looked different than ours.......
witnessed how they washed their clothes. Then we prayed with them........We told them about Jesus and how he cares for them and desires to be their friend. We also saw things we couldn't bare at some times......heartbreaking at times.......

Then there were the smiles I will never forget.......The games we played- I will never forget......The HUGS that I will never ever be able to forget.......
who knows how long it will be before they recieve another one.......We gave to those who needed it the most.......(THANKS LISA for your donation!!!)We witnessed a new christian be baptised in the Pacific Ocean......
got so close our feet got wet..... Then we walked some more........because his work is not done.....

I pray that my foot print in the sand last longer than my 7 day visit. May the Lord bring many more people to go and share with those who have never heard.......

WOW it has been a month since my last post.....whew.....I was going to do a wrap up of all we have done......but NO TIME FOR THAT!!! I will catch you up later in the month!!

I am leaving tomorrow for a mission trip. We will fly out on Friday at 6am in the morning to Lima, Peru and not reach there until 10:00pm!!!

From Saturday the19th until Friday the 25th a team of 5 of us will be ministering to the homeless, HIV positive, children in orphanage and various other bible studies and church services. We will conduct pray walks around the capital of Peru, and pray for all the many people who have not heard the GOOD NEWS!!

I have prayed prepared and I have left it in God's hands. He is my creator and for him I live and breathe each and every day!! I pray that we can be a bright light in their dark world.
My assignments are to share my testimony with a group of women, help in a drama presentation, activity with children at a VBS, and share a bible story with life application. I pray that I be his hands and his feet- that I get out of the way and let him lead me all the way!!

I will miss Father's Day with B and the boys.....this is sad but on the other hand we will be visiting and orphanage that very same day. I was asked by a friend, Jeff -if when we go I would hold this little baby boy that he fell in love with back when he went in March. Jeff said as he held this 6 month old child, his arms were getting tired after a half of an hour and he was wishing someone would come and get him....then he said the Holy Spirit slapped him in the face and reminded him to show God's love to this poor child who has no parents to hold him!! I cannot wait to get my hands on that little boy!!

As I type....I am weeping......I feel as if God has blessed me so much in my life!!! I just wish everyone could have the joy and love I feel from Jesus Christ.

My boys, will be with B and also taking turns between grandparents in Oklahoma and Arkansas. We are so blessed to have such wonderful supportive parents to help us out. I don't know who is more excited the grandparents or the kids!!

Thank you for the prayers, support and Love during this journey in my life- I have NO CLUE what I am doing going to Peru, and leaving my children and husband....but the Lord has many many great things in store for all of us!!
When I do return I will be FULL of stories and cannot wait to share pictures and tell stories!!
GOD IS GOOD!!!
See you soon......
