Well, I can now cross something out on the TO DO LIST.......Mission Trip. Although I can say after going- that it is not something I wouldn't mind to do all over again! I loved it- Honestly, I did not have time to get home sick. I did miss my family- but I also knew I was in Lima, Peru for 7 days so I did my best to put my feelings aside and be his hands and feet.
Here is a sneak peak into what happened in those 7 days.
I will give longer more detailed...you know me.....in the next few days!!
We met in Lima, Peru......
Our Leaders....Missionaries who live in Lima (in the long sleeve blue shirts)- met us at the airport and there we also met two other members ( C & J the couple to the left) of our team of 5
Lived out of a suitcase for 7 days......and slept in a twin size bunk bed.........Here is the Team......
J & C (from Mississippi) T, Me & D ( from Arkansas) You could not have asked for a better mix of people- we laughed, I cried ( that's a whole 'nother can of worms), we shared testimonies, we really got along like we had known each other always! God was totally in Control!!We then hit the streets......Inner City Lima, Peru. We walked the streets they walk everyday......Took public transportation like they did everyday......Some smaller than others.......Tight squeeze most of the time...... Then kept on walking......into the nights........because that is what HE would have done......
We met them on the streets.......saw their faces and eyes up close......Even if we didn't speak the same language, or speak or hear at all.We saw where they lived.....Saw homes that were different than ours....... Saw stoves that looked different than ours.......

witnessed how they washed their clothes. Then we prayed with them........We told them about Jesus and how he cares for them and desires to be their friend. We also saw things we couldn't bare at some times......heartbreaking at times.......
Then there were the smiles I will never forget.......The games we played- I will never forget......The HUGS that I will never ever be able to forget.......
who knows how long it will be before they recieve another one.......We gave to those who needed it the most.......(THANKS LISA for your donation!!!)We witnessed a new christian be baptised in the Pacific Ocean......
