Thankfullness....

Thanksgiving is this week....

when you think of the day that comes once a year what comes to mind first??

A Gathering with the family, cheerfully dining in a picture perfect way....

the head of the household saying a prayer to start a wonderful meal. A perfectly fried Turkey that has been injected with an awesome seasoning.....along with dressing, casseroles galore, pumpkin & pecan pie. A parade.....that will have millions of people attending in person and millions more watching on TV live.....hundreds of wonderful floats and floating balloons.....

Or your heritage.....how this very nation celebrated the very first Thanksgiving....Pilgrims and Indians....and the untied meal they had among the different lifestyles and skin colors they sat down together Gave Thanks.....and enjoyed a meal with strangers.....However you spend your time or your day......it is up to you and your opinion. Each person has convictions and different traditions to how they choose to spend their time on this ONE day out of the year to GIVE THANKS.

This is the only day that American sets aside out of the 365 days in the year to celebrate our heritage and to celebrate that special day at Plymouth Rock. We as Americans have way too much to be thankful for than just this one day out of the whole year.

Our freedom we have daily to go as we please throughout our land. To worship and serve who we feel led to, and pray any time we choose. God has given us way to much to be Thankful for than just one day out of a year.

In the past year I can think of many times I was thankful for something Great that happened in my life. I personally have WAY to much to be thankful for too much to even mention on this post. But I know there are so many who don't feel as thankful or as fortunate this holiday season and most days of their life.

There are those who are lonely......
Those who have lost family members and
have broken hearts because their loved ones are gone... Those who have no shelter and never know when there next meal may be......

Regardless of what you may have and what may be going on there are SO many that have days that are so much worse than any of us can imagine. We as Americans have so many comforts and so many freedoms and yet there are still those who suffer daily in our land.

For the families who will have one less plate at the dinner table because they were taken from this Earth too soon for us to understand. There are those who have no family at all because all of their family has past on from this life and so they surround themselves with friends. There are those who don't talk to or get along with family members and therefore the strife leads to broken families.

So many reasons why there are lonely people in America today suffering and in a land where we have on hand anything you could want or need at anytime!! Yet so many broken hearts and homes. Why?? Because we are all human and we all make mistakes and all have faults.

There is only one person who can heal the broken hearted and heal the broken homes....not just on Thanksgiving day but each day of your life. When you cry out to God....he will heal your heart just as He will heal our land and our lives. So this Thanksgiving when you go about your traditions and your life...remember those less fortunate and those who are suffering because of a loss of a family member or are just alone.

We are so BLESSED beyond words.....if we would take the time to look around. So many Americans are too bust trying to keep up with others and all the latest gadgets. Yet they loose sight of those who may be in the same workplace, next door neighbor and even the person who checks your groceries out at the store. So many people suffer and are overlooked by Americans who are more concerned with their lives and their needs and not the needs of their fellow men!

Blessings are what we have when we Love the Lord and serve others instead of seeking our own ways to look for healing our hearts and homes. Lean on the Lord for your healing this Holiday and seek His desires for your heart and home.

Happy Thanksgiving....

Mollie
