New Fence-

Well as I showed in LAST Funny Friday- we have a NEW FENCE!! A fence was needed for a few reasons.....
It is basic and wooden, cheaper than a chain-link. But it does the job!! Just what we needed!!

#1 reason NEW PUPPY MAIZIE. Her safety and my need for her to be outside. It is still cold and she still gets to come inside to sleep....naps & night time. But when you are trying to eat and she is in the kitchen barking- because you make her stay behind the baby gate.....otherwise she will eat the food out of the kids hands!! She needs to be out when we eat. She has plenty of toys to play with and lots of room to run- not to mention a covered porch!! She has been OUTSIDE for a week and a half now.....she is so happy- I watch her out the window and she will bounce and play with a blowing leaf....so cute!!

#2 reason.....C- he is fast and so quick that it is almost dangerous. We love to play outside and when I am helping T with something- C... seeing it as an advantage to make a run for it. Not because he is BAD....because he is NOT....he is just curious- and QUICK!!!

The other day we were playing out in the yard and T was with me, I was helping him with something. The dog was over across the yard and C was.......well where was C........Oh yeah- THE MAILBOX!!!! My famous last words.... "let's go get the paper" he headed to the mailbox!! The cars driving by were thinking Oh no that boy is in trouble!!! I was sprinting out to the black box on the side of the road......snatched him up and spanked him right then and there!! Then set him back down and said "NO...NO MAILBOX!!!" And tried to explain to him If a bad person saw you they would take you away from Mama......do you want that?? "YES" he said....he has no clue!!! Not to mention getting hit by a car....UGH!!! Nightmares for me....crazy people drive 75 down our road and the speed limit is 55MPH!!! Fast enough in front of my house!!

We BADLY NEEDED A FENCE......so that very day- I sent B a text...said I AM CALLING A FENCE COMPANY TODAY!!!!! His response......MAKE SURE IT HAS A GATE BIG ENOUGH FOR MY TRACTOR!!!

Next day the Fence guy Brian came and with-in a week it was up and done!!! Great Job Brian!!

I wish I had a picture of the guy Brian who did the great job on the fence. He wears a brown felt cowboy hat, with a wide brim. We also have a brown hat- but ours is from VBS last year....kinda like an Australian hat.....Ok with all that in mind.

T was watching him out the window NON-STOP and giving me a play by play of every nail!!! He then walks in the room with his brown hat on and asks me "M'am.....would you like me to bulid you a fence??" in his deep manly voice!! Oh I thought I was gonna roll in the floor laughing!! He is so funny....I have no clue where he gets it from???

So what do you think?? Like the fence??

flower beds

Well I keep forgetting to post this.....so here it is-

I mentioned to B one night at dinner- "I would really like to remove all those shrubs out of the front flower beds- they are just too hard to keep trimmed"
That's all it takes when you are married to a man who owns a Kabota Tractor!!

The next day they were GONE!!!
4 Holly Bushes (ouch) and 14 box shrubs!!! They were planted in 1988....we think??

These are the after pictures- All I did was transplant Lantana & Aster Lily!! Actually my man friend did all the tranplanting!! Nice to have muscle around- whether it bed a Kabota or college!!

We tried to raise the edging....then realized it was rusted!! So, we did have that expense. Other than that- it was so over grown I just needed some moving around to make it look more like a flowerbed not a JUNGLE!!I love the bird house (milk carton) on the porch- we have since thrown that one away and are getting ready to make new ones!
Theses pictures are from the spring- if you drive by now....you will see a jungle once again- with all the rain we have had!!! I look at these and think-
Wish flower beds did not come with all the maintenance!!

Bedroom Remodel

Well, Our bedroom was next and well over due for a remodel. Just paint (buffalo from W-mart)and a few new bedding options. Our bedding was 10 years old- that is not that old. But Goodness I am sure you will agree looks like some country boy lost his way in here.
The blue, green & maroon PLAID was so in style when we got married. It looked GOOD 10 years ago.
PLUS, not to mention this is a trampoline to 2 naked boys around bath time. That is the only time they can jump on the bed. And they enjoy every minute of it. We get a good laugh too!!
BEFORE
AFTER
We would like to get a new bed- The whole used to be a water- bed now a mattress bed!!! Has got to GO!!! Our backs cannot agree more. We are saving for this too!!

I think I would like a bed no headboard of foot board and just make a headboard. I called our neighbor Jill- she said she would help when I am ready....she is Mrs. Southern Living HGTV!!! Great to have friends that are crafty!! Thanks Jill I will be calling you!!

BEFORE
AFTER
YOU KNOW....in every bedroom there is a gun cabinet!!!! You can sleep safe at night knowing there are plenty of guns....locked away!!!
Plus no good mother's room is complete with out 2 baby monitors!!!
I am not for sure about the pictures on this wall??? B said it looked tacky- I thought that. Crystal said they looked fine.....I think they look Ghetto?? Crystal is always NICE!!
They are sweet pictures of me pregnant & the boys father's day gift to B in his shoes. But, if I remove them there are only 100 holes in the newly painted wall now???
On the other hand....I do LOVE these pictures and decided to frame them and put them on the wall. My friend Cindy took these about 6 years ago- prior to kids- the skinny days.
These were my favorites. She wanted a picture of us kissing....EEEEWWWW!!! We are so not PDA (public diplay of affection) either. SO she said just look at each other sexy......then we just busted out laughing at each other!!! I do LOVE my husband, but I would rather just have a picture of us smiling!!!
It makes me smile each morning when I wake up to these!!
So, give me feed back on this room??? Any changes or suggestions??

Bathroom Remodel

Ok here is Project # 1 from the Summer.
Bathroom Remodel- mostly cosmetic.

We painted and changed a few lights out. I had my "man friend" came to help out. I am a terrible painter. I know why painters get paid good money- My arms cannot handle the constant motion.
Well, here are the before & After what do ya think??
BEFORE
AFTERThe new color was butter cream from wal-mart. Just painted a fresh coat of white on all borders and vanity. Changed the mirror- that was $24 from Wally world. Also replaced all towel hangy du bobbers with "brushed nickel" instead of chipped white.
I think it would look much better minus the kandoos on the back of the toliet & step stools and kid blue soap- BUT HEY we LIVE HERE!!!
Atleast I have hidden the potty seat behind the door now!! hehe

BEFORE
AFTER I do have a million pictures of the MOST photogenic kids in the world. I think some of the cutest too!!! I have re-framed them and put them up all over the place.

Anyone who comes to my house knows what my kids look like!!!

I think the babies in a tube picture are totally appropriate for bathrooms. I also LOVE the pictures of the boys in the Black & White frame together- They were both 8 weeks old and I tried to get the same pose. It was so close it was freakin' out the photographer!!

I added the lamp from our bedroom- for FREE- well I paid for it a long time ago!

BEFORE
AFTER
We also took down the Lighthouse wall paper. IF was curling up on us. Each room in our house when we bought it had border paper at the top or ONE wall in each room papered!!
Happy to say now we are recycling and saving the eye site of healthy people by removing out paper!! Especially the Hunter Green & Maroon Plaid!!! Can I get a "EEEWWWWW"
Seriously- I really wanted to tile the floor. Just need to save up some more & have him come do a few jobs at one time instead a few little piddly ones.
Tomorrow I will have more finished projects and remodeling!!
Give me your feed back- any idea to change or place things??
