Will Play 4 DIRT!!

One thing I love about living in the country is this.....

While the boys were playing one day last week- this Doe walked in the yard and just ate a little corn from the feeder and then went on.

The boys have this little dirt pile in the back yard Mr. Henry brought with his dump truck to fill in a low spot. It came from a cow pasture- LOVERLY!!!

B said last week- "I would like for grass to grow there but.... I am sure it will some day"

I then reminded him that when we are 50 grass will be there- but the boys will be gone! Let them be little and play in the dirt- Only it is hard to make a sand castle out of cow pies!!
But it is dirt and they are boys- that's that!!
I LOVE that my BOYS are FRIENDS!!! Reminds me a lot of two sisters I know- Me & LaLa~

Lesson Learned the hard way

5 years ago... today......

Have you ever heard the saying slow and steady wins the race? Well, I have especially after an incident a few years back. Let me start by saying that I have always been exercise minded and kept in pretty good shape.....then came clomid, kids, staying at home....and the excuses go on and on.

I have always loved to walk and stay in shape. When we moved here, I had a hard time finding a GOOD place to walk. So, I just did not. Then the weight came on...and on..and on...so a friend named Cindy and I decided to get up at 5 in the morning and walk the "farm road".

On our journey to town (which is a 10 min. drive) we talked about how we would start at one end- walk to the other, then turn around and walk back. Then she would drive it and we would see how far we had walked. Sounds GREAT.

So we headed out on the walk. Lovely place to walk if you can stomach the "FRESH" manure smell. I was sweating and huffing the whole way. "Oh Cindy" I kept saying " this is a long way". For someone who has not exercised in 2 years. THREE MILES is not where you start!!!Each day we would go do our three mile walk. And by the end of the first week I had shin splints...THIS MY FRIEND IS WHERE THE STORY BEGINS!!!

When you get shin-splints....STOP!!! OH NO...Mollie had to get that weight off. Huffing and Puffing everyday like I belonged in the pig barn on the "farm road". I started to hurt really bad. So after the 3rd week I quit!! I cannot take it anymore!! I will just stay FAT my whole life!!!I went to the doctor...they ran test....they took x-ray. They would get back with me. They told me to REST!! Those of you who know me well...rest what is rest???

I kept cutting hair....cutting cutting cutting for 8 plus hours of the day.I just knew something was broke!! I went on to a Hair Show in Tulsa, OK. Walked 6 hours one day then 8 the next!!! By this time now my whole foot was hurt.

When I returned home I went to the doctor for a bone scan. The Doctor called me in his office the next morning. You have 2 stress fractures in both ankles and the ball of my left foot was also fractured!!!OUCH!!!!I JUST KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG!!!Then he asked " What have you been doing?" " Walking" I replied.

Therefore, I was put in 2 walking casts at the same time. For 6-8 weeks.Let me tell you " THESE BOOTS ARE NOT MADE FOR WALKING"Anyway, everything you do when you are in these boots is difficult. EVERYTHING....The first night I had them on, poor B had an attack of kidney stones.
My self portrait for photography class.

We did not know what was wrong, he just was in so much pain. I DROVE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL!! I had never driven yet, you see I just picked up the boots from the medical supply and then took them home and put them on. So OFF WE GO.... (this is where the story gets good)

Poor B I helped his large 6 foot nine inch body into the car, then put my FLASHERS on and away we went.....FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET!!! Oh My Goodness, You cannot tell how much power was behind that foot. You see, you cannot flex your foot in these boots, IT IS ALL OR NOTHING BABY!!!!

B by this time is hanging out the window saying can you go any faster???"FASTER...FASTER...I AM GOING 80 IN A 45 MPH." Finally we arrive at the Hospital and come to a SCREECHING HALT!!!I then help him out of the car....Oh what a fly on the wall inside the hospital I would have liked to have been!!We walked in ....they came over to ME!!!! hahahaha

I said " Oh I am fine, he is the one we are here for!"Then I sat in the waiting room...the looks were great!! I started to think of great stories to tell people. I mean come on.....walking....no one gets hurt from walking!!My friend you have never walked the farm road with Cindy!!

I continued to cut hair..sitting down of course. I could not let those people down. I also continued everything else I do....shopping, went bowling with a ladies group from church, I even went as an astronaut for Halloween, I also attended a photography class at the local college.

You see the things God will teach you, will come at a Great Cost sometimes. I know that I was going too fast in life....too fast for everything!! I needed to slow down and enjoy life. If I would have not been in these things for 10 WEEKS!!! I would not have slowed down to the speed I am now.

Plus, after 4 years of trying to get pregnant- The day I got my boots off was the same day I found out I was pregnant with T!!!!!!!

Take each day enjoy it treat it as if it were your last. You see the lesson I have learned... It does not matter how much weight I lose by walking or how fast it comes off...it is about staying healthy and being here for my boys!!I will start off slow and steady...then I will win the race that God has set out for me!!

Project # 2 The office multi-purpose room

Here it is my big project!
My Office/Multi- purpose Room

I have worked hard for 2-3 weeks on this. It was a bad before you'll have to trust me on this one-I have no before pics......it was so bad I could not bare to show that skeleton in this room!!

I took EVERYTHING out of this room- then replaced it all in an organized fashion. Just kinda like the show "clean sweep" on TLC. I also threw away 5 trash bags of STUFF- and gave 7 boxes of things to a charity.

All the clear bins have school supplies, craft supplies, and gift wrapping stuff in them. Books on shelf where they belong. Papers all filled away where they belong!! Everything has a Home and likes to live in their own place- that way I don't loose my mind looking for a pair of scissors!

Honestly, not to blame anyone- I have been out of place for 2 years!! I think when baby #2 it me I was so not prepared! I am a pretty organized person-at least I think I am. When I had 4-6 hours of sleep for the first 18 months of his life- totally lost my brain!!

Really when you deliver the baby, placenta, brain goes with it each time!! That is Dr Mollie speaking!!

I have felt freedom ever since I conquered this project. There is a song on the radio I LOVE by Third Day "It feels like I am living, breathing, born again- for the very first time." If you listen to KLOVE you will know what I am talking about.

That is the feeling have. Not only have I cleaned my whole house, every closet and nook and cranny. I have also lost 15 lbs. the last 3 weeks!!! Whoo Hoo- CRUISE here we come!

I also have more energy to do more minus the extra LB! I have been getting up and putting on God first- before anything!! That has made a HUGE difference-He is the one I give GLORY to for all my accomplishments!!

Even though I was set back for awhile- I got back on my feet knocked the dust off- and will carry on!

Our new room has computer space for me in the corner, a craft area, and a school area. I have been doing fun school activities with the boys- they love it- I am tricking them into learning!

That is in part to my lack of blogging lately!!!!
Psalm 128:2 When you shall eat the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you.

Proverbs 12:24 The diligent find freedom in their work; the lazy are oppressed by work.

Thank You Heavenly Father for your word that keeps me going.

Please continue to Pray for my sweet Mamaw- My dad just called and gave me a report that she has stopped eating. Bless her heart-Lord heal her soon and take her HOME!

10 things on the tenth

Ten things I have learned since becoming a MOM!!!!
1. Patience is Learned while you are waiting to get pregnant,
then tested when you potty train.
2. You can NEVER get enough hugs & kisses!!
3. MUD is your FRIEND!! Only when it is outside!!
4. You will NEVER pick up all the toys and them stay there for more than a minute
unless your kids are gone to grandma's
5. If you let them help with chores & shopping it WILL take TWICE as long.
But it is a learning experience for both of you.
6. I tried to get the first kid to do everything quickly (crawling, walking)-
Second Kid I don't want them to move any quicker than they have too!!!
7. Once a child is able to move from one spot......there is NO going back.....into EVERYTHING!!!
8. Nap time is like Recovery time in the hospital!!
9. Going to the Bathroom by yourself is PURE satisfaction & an accomplishment!!
10. I AM MY MOTHER!!!

Just a quick "hi"

Okay I have been SUPER BUSY this week- I thought the last few weeks were busy.
Just checking in to let you know what we have been doing-
I have been getting things finalized for our cruise to Cozumel in just 2 weeks!!! I am so excited but so stinkin' nervous- for me to be without a diaper bag and wipe- I don't know if I can survive NOT being with my kids for that long of time.
I know we need a vacation together- and will probably never do this again until they move out when they are 18+ years old!!! I have NEVER been away from my kids longer than 24 hours...that is 4 years.....I think it is time to get away. So a lot of paper work to leave for the wonderful caretakers!!
I have finished my BIG project- hopefully I can post pictures soon.
This week- we got back from OK on Monday night- went to a prayer walk at T's pre-school.
Then went home threw the kids in bed- next morning I had 4 stops before we even made it to story time at 10. Then we gave my friend Katja a shower for baby Leni. SURPRISE!!! My friends Courtney, Mandy, Christina & Jill all our kiddos helped too celebrate with Katja!
We ate at a cute little place and surprised her with some baby gifts!!! We had fun- not to sure about the cleaning crew after us???

Then T had his first day of gymnastics- a boy's class!! That was fun waking C up to take T.
Then back home to cook supper- after that we all jumped in the Big Truck with B and rode to the lumber mill to "help" him tarp & strap his load. OH the boys were SO DIRTY after that!!
To bed again & back up this morning to get T to school in time to RIDE the firetruck & guess who also got to ride. That was fun.
Although I was 3 mins late to get my hair colored due to riding the firetruck!! hahaha That was like the dog ate my homework excuse!!
This weekend we did have a good time- I am SO GLAD I got to see my mamaw- she is hanging in there. It is so sweet to see my papaw taking care of her and stroking her cheek talking to her. But, at the same time so sad- this November they will be married 67 years!!
We also got to make a trip to the TULSA ZOO!!! It was a lot of fun too- look for a BIG post on that soon- I took over 300 pics with my new camera!!
I have been praying for many people too- you know who you are...that is more important than posting a blog too me too!!
So you see I have been super busy sorry for quick update- I will post more later!!

Just a Friday

Well, we are headed to OK today to see my parents & grandparents. I would really love to visit with some old friends but for right now while my grandparents are still living- I feel it important to spend as much time with them as possible. When we live 6 hours away it is hard to just run by to visit.
This has been a busy week we have had 2 doctor check-ups for T. Happy to report he is a Healthy 4 year old in the 97+ % of his age.

I have had a lot on my mind this week. I am finishing up the BIG project of my office/junk room. It is almost done- so next week I will post pics of that- hopefully!!

Please pray for my Mamaw- we are going to visit her and my dad says she is not doing well. She has Super-nuclear palsy ( I really have no idea what it is?) I just know for two years they thought it was Parkinson's Disease- so it is similar to that.

She is a beautiful lady both in and outside!! She has always been a good example for a mother, grandmother, cook, homemaker, and christian for me. I love her dearly, but I just don't like to see people we love in pain or hurting.

Here is a picture of her.....Mamaw C. I love the way C is looking at her!! She was making him laugh about something- which is a big accomplishment!! He usually cries in pictures.

My papaw is holding the boys. They are such a cute little couple. I love them both very much!!!

Thanks, I appreciate your thoughts & prayers!!
Have a Good Weekend!!
